RP ( Ryan ) had an interview for a Lead postion at his job. This requires him to do a little less work but also move up into the company. Please pray that if God wants him to have the postion that it is in God's plan. He would have to give up his Saturday off that he has now for the postion. He has worked so hard to get Saturday off so as a Family we can spend more time togther going and doing things. With this fishing will have to been done on Sundays and Church is on Sundays. Please pray that what ever God wants him to have he will accecpt as God's will and not to get bummed about it. Thank You

Ryan,

Just a thought. 2 years ago I guit working on Sunday's (I am a professional full time fishing guide...so you will see where I am going with this)...I promised God and my family that Sunday's would be devoted to them and only them.

So, as a fishing guide, and my business is seasonal, you can imagine what I was sacrificing. You take 4 days a month of fishing away from a guide in prime time season and he is losing $ (you get the picture).

Well, God surely blessed my committment to Him and my family. That first year instead of being short of $, God provided! I grossed more money in that year than I EVER had in the guiding business. Now, I keep track of every cent and where it goes. God provided! He did it in larger tips, more trips (beleive it or not).

It has been 3 years now that I made that committment to God. I tried to fish one sunday last year and God reminded me of my committment. The trip that I had scheduled called late the night before and cancelled. So I don't even try to book a sunday anymore.

So, my encouragement to you would be follow where the Holy Spirit leads you. Pray about it and wait until he tells you what to do. I know you know this, family is more important. God knows that you are a hard worker and HE RESPECTS YOU! Good luck, I will be praying for you.

Ryan,

BTW, I have been guiding for 17 years this year. So to be blessed by God for keeping my committment you can see that I haven't been at this game for a short time. I hope this encouraged you.

Please keep RP in prayer. He did not recieve the postion he applied for at his work. It was given to someone that has not been there only a few months. We gave it to God and God wants him to stay at the postion he is at. God honor's the Family. As you said Jig that making sure that your Family had Sunday's set aside for going to Church and being with the Family. That God blessed you over everthing that you scarficed. You could have taken and worked Sundays but you put your Family first. I know that is whar RP does. He thinks about us as a family first. Please just lift him in prayer that he can honor is works decsion and work well with this new Lead.

PS: by the way Rp has been working at this Company for I think almost 5 years. He went throught some tuff time last year when they had to make a change and he went to work in RA. Just wanted everybody to know that my husband has worked so hard to provided his Family with the finances so that we can do the things we need to do and like to do. He is the hardest worker I know. He even works hard when he is ot feeling well. He might come home an crash but when he is at work he really focuses on work. He loves working night shift because it wors out for the Family. Always looking out for the family.

Keep your chin up Ryan. It has happened to more people than you can imagine. I was caught in the same situation once and was ready to throw in the towel. My daughter sent me flowers at work and things began looking up. As a result of the non transfer, I met several other people I know I would never have met had I proceeded on the other path.. More opportunities opened up and my lifelong dream became a reality! Really , it did!

You never know what God has in store. Remember the quote from Yogi Berra. "When you come to a fork in the road, Take it!" Look back on some of those forks and think "what if I had taken the other one?"

Hang in there, Ryan!

You know that God has blessed you with a wonderful family, good friends, and a pure Christian heart. Take it from an old sinner who has been on both sides of this "job" thing. It's not that important. We as Christians are in this world but not of this world. Decisions made by employers are not always based upon that which is just and righteous.

Through your faith, God will always take care of you and your family. We must always focus upon those blessings He bestows upon us in this life, as well as the future grace. God has a special plan for you and your family. :hearton:
