View Full Version : Baby Ryan needs prayers

My grand-nephew was born on Friday. There were complications in the last few minutes before he was born and his heart stopped. It took 11 long minutes to get it started. They are trying to assess brain damage right now.
He has prayer circles going at a couple churches right now, but more prayers can't hurt. If, God forbid, there are problems, his parents couldn't be better to take care of him. They will put it all in God's hands, but we would hope it never goes there.
Please pray for Ryan, his parents and his doctors. Thanks. This all breaks my heart.

I got some more news tonight. It isn't so good. They probably won't take him off the ventilator (it is just assisting, he can breathe mostly on his own) until Friday. They confirmed brain damage, but have no idea how much yet. He may not come home for up to 4 weeks. They are preparing my niece and her husband for the worst. But we will pray for the best. Thanks for all your prayers.

Ruth, this is so heartbreaking. I'm so sorry!!!!
I look at my son every day and thank god he's healthy. I think I take it for granted. My thoughts and prayers go out to the parents and the little child fighting for life. Life can sure be tragically unfair sometimes.

I feel for this Family. When my son was born I was on the verge of having a stroke. When my son came out he did not cry and then got the yucky stuff out. I could only see him for a little bit and they took him away. Later I found out he had to be put on Oxygen for 30 mins, and then he was hooked up to all these wires and other things giving him nutrition. It was hard to see my little one like that.
God gave us children no matter what happens to them. We are to Love them, care for them, teach them about God and Jesus and bring them up to be Godly Men or Women. This little one will give this family so much love. We just give it all to the Lord. It is in his hands right now.

What a cute little boy!! I'll continue to pray for little Ryan and his family.
I agree with Sharkbaithorara, this little boy will bring the family joy, however the outcome. God can take any test and turn it into a testamony, any mess into a message. I too will pray and continue to pray for Baby Ryan. Hang in there...God has a plan!

Prayers are working guys! He is off the ventilator and breathing good on his own. They removed the catheter too and are decreasing his pain meds so he is more alert now. He still needs some meds to take down the edema in his head and face. Now the next big huddle will be nursing. Keep praying please.

Come on! Give God Some Praise...He is good and faithfull. Thank you heavenly father for your covering of protection and healing on Baby Ryan.
They are both both cute little boys. Through some tears my pray for health and healing to this family is passed to God.

Ryan is doing much better now! He is off of everything except he has the heart monitor still. He is nursing great. He is eating twice what he was getting from the feeding tube. He is doing well enough to go HOME tomorrow. Home, guys, he gets to go home. The rest is in God's hands. Thank you for all the prayers. He had many, many, many people making sure he got special mention. Thank you all. I have pictures but it will have to wait until I get back home later this week.

oh, HOORAY!!!! That is such great news. I am so glad he gets to go home. Thanks for the update, I'll keep praying that he's going to be healthy and growing and that his mama and dad can get some rest.

Ruth this is good news indeed. I've been pulling for that little tyke especially this last week. Will continue to pray that God will make him stronger each day and that He will touch the young one's mind and make him whole again. It can happen. Keep the faith.

That picture shows so much love. I am so happy for all of them. God has given them such a blessing.
Give God some praise, He is worthy, He is faithfull! This is wonderful news about Baby Ryan. We will continue to pray that God's protective and healing hands would hold and cradle Baby Ryan. Something good and wonderful will come of all this....
