View Full Version : First trip to Clear Lake, CA
I just returned from my long anticipated first trip to Clear Lake. I fished with Larry Hemphill out of Yuba City. We managed 31 fish for the boat with almost all over 3lbs and divided about evenly between the two of us. Our five fish limit was between 26 1/2 and 27 lbs, in tough post spawn, post cold front, very windy conditions. The small fish in the pic is 4 1/2 lbs, the larger is 8 lb 11 oz, my best to date. She was caught at 2 PM. (If you're looking vor a very knowlegible, pleasant brother to fish with, give Larry a call. He posts on WesternBass.com.

Awesome. Even N. Ca fish aren't as dense as ours- that fish in NW Oregon would be close to ten pounds- it looks huge! Nice work! Dave
