We are going to be staying at Fishhook Park on (Lake Sacajawea, formed by Ice Harbor Lock and Dam on the Lower Snake River). Does anyone know what kind of bass fishing is to be had at Lake Sacajawea, or if that is not good, where would be a great place or places to go around that area. We will have our bass boat, and we will be there July 7-10. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Smallmouth. Standard baits will work.

Do you know if there are any largemouth available? Is there some decent fish, or lots of small ones on average. Thanks for the info. Not worried about what to use, just want to know if it was worth fishing, or if we should look to fish somewhere else. I would like to fish there since we will be staying on the lake, but not if it is no good.

There's very few largemouth around but your in for a ton of little smallies and some aggressive catfish. Typical crawdad colors will work best. Your better off fishing Potholes or Banks if you want largemouths.

How far away is Potholes and Banks. Are we talking hours away or closer? Thanks for the info, keep it coming. I will accept all Pms and mastercards:D

It is about 60 miles to Potholes maybe a little closer. Potholes has many lakes to choose from and some of them are only 40 miles from where you will be staying if I remeber right, check the map.

You will hit pockets of real small bass and then a lunker every now and then. Enough to keep you interested.

Sacajewa is a small mouth show. By July fish deeper. There are some largies that hang around some of the boat docks. The wallula pool has more largies but you have to get back into the burbank sloughs to find them which can be a bit tricky. You need a map of that area if you are going to fish it.

Find a "FISH-N-MAP" of the Tri-Cities.

http://www.nwmaps.com/fish_maps.html

Most Outdoors/tackle shops carry them. The show the contour of the bottom very well.
