The feds had the audacity to hire me today. I'll be working for Social Security in tech support, so all you old farts have the comforting feeling that I'll somehow be involved in making sure you can buy your bait and coffee.

Guess I'm back to being a weekend warrior.

The nerve of them! If you had gone to work in the restaurant industry instead, you would still be able to fish during the week. But not on the weekends. And only if no one called out, nothing broke down, and you didn't get called in to work because the restaurant was super busy and needed your help. And as long as.... heck, I could go on all day.

Prior to my last job that I was laid off from I was in the food service industry, actually. When the regional office moved to Ridgefield Washington and they screwed me out of nearly a grand in mileage reimbursement it was time for me to go.

Food service is Hell.
