Thistle launch at GP?

Anyone launched there recently? Any problems with the water level? I have a 21' that I launched there earlier in the year when the water was up but I'd heard they dropped it to fill Foster. Still doable? Thanks.

The website that shows water levels for boat ramp access shows that it is not ussable.

I don't think that is the case as said above.

You can put in @ thistle cr, just make sure you are not using a mini van to put your boat in , last sat someone thought they were going to use a mini van ,,,,,,,didn't work !!!!!!

Which is considered the better ramp, Thistle or Whitcomb? Plenty of parking and a dock to temporarly load/unload people are my preferences over steep or hard to back down.

You're not going to find a usable dock at GP unless the water level is almost up to full pool. There's a thread somehwere that has photographs of the Thistle Creek ramp at various water levels. It's usable long after Whitcomb is impossible. I'll try to find the link.

I launched there on Thur., no problem, but no dock.

We launched at Thistle today with no problem. First run with the 21' NR Seahawk. The water is half way down the lower ramp. Little frustrating that some folks park along the edges of the main ramp road to bank fish.
