This is a great place to fish and nice for camping too! kind of wild with lots of stocked fish and some nates as well. The river was kind of low and the upper portions are very hard to get around on with lots of steep hikes down to the river. Its great though a little bit of a hike and you can fish all day wothout seeing another person. These pictures are from about 30 miles east down on quartzville road past green peter and foster resevoir. We camped at a rustic campspot that was right near the creek pretty close to where the road parts ways with the creek. There is a good chance of finding gold if you bring a cheapo gold pan. I caught about 15 trout and kept 2 to eat both stocked rainbows. We did fish a little close to green peter but there was a ton of people down there and seemed to be a little bit overfished.

Those are some beautiful pictures, and just keep taking your little girl out camping and fishing. The memories she'll make doing that will last her a life time.

Nice pictures!

The water color is always so impressive up there, very alluring and irresitible.

Did you try any fly fishing?

It's a really nice area up there for camping. I remember years ago the whole family would rent out the group camp area there at Yellowbottom and spend 4 or 5 days during the summer time.

Just a word of warning, be very careful where you choose to pan for gold up there. If you're not in the designated public panning area, chances are you're on a claim.

Nice pics, I heard you can run all the way up to Marion Forks from there. I am checking this place out, thanks.

Yes you can it turns into straight creek road and that comes out on hwy 22 about 1 or 2 miles south of marion forks fish hatchery and campground. The drive from the creek over the hills to the hwy is BEAUTIFULL!

WOW! That green color just makes me want to fish!

When I was a hard-core diver, I actually dove a little bit up there and it was fun - watching those fish sit right below the riffles of the big holes waiting for the current to bring some food....

Thanks for the pictures!
