I work at a golf club and the other day, while playing, I noticed the bluegill have moved in close to start their spawn. I sat there for a few minutes watching them act territorial, and nippin at eachother as they swam past each other's beds. I tooks some pics, as they were RIGHT below me, up in the shallows.
Here's a shot of all the nests next to the bank. Its a great sight to see. The way they dig out their own little round nest, leaving the gravel bedding for the eggs. In this pic, you can see a few of the fish sitting in the middle of them, protecting their 'plot'

Just a few pictures I thought I'd share with you all. Its great to see this kind of thing in action. Each day I go by them, after teeing off, and sit there and watch them for a few minutes.. (before the group behind me catches up) :)
