Fished Odell on Thursday with a high school friend that I haven't seen in 40 years, managed 12 fish for the day. Got most of them at Trapper Creek area in 105' of water. Went to Crescent on Friday, slow was the word. Lost one at the boat, and got two nice 13 1/2" er's in the boat in four hours. Went back to Odell and it really kicked up and some lighting was going on. Stayed in camp till it stopped and headed to Trapper Creek, less rough. Didn't find any fish either. Now it was going on Saturday and maybe the full moon thing was having it's effect.

Went out in front of Princess Creek, nothing. Headed down the lake a cross from the view point and got seven fish before lunch. After lunch headed out again, only this time I was just a little reluctant to head down the lake, the wind kicked up and I would be in for a long haul back. I went anyway. Got down there and though the hook, took a while till it finally grabbed. Started fishing and getting fish. Then I started to look around, and guess what I saw!!

Well it's on the other side of the lake. Then this one showed up.

Well there's rain in that cloud! In about ten minutes, you guess it, every thing got wet! I did bring my rain coat, but no pants. In about twenty minutes the sun came out and got everything dry again including me. Finished getting my 18 fish for the day.

On the way back to camp, I heard this loud thunder clap, all I want to do is get off the lake. There was a Lightning strike just above the view point. It started a small fire.

On Sunday headed back to the spot and finished my limit by 10 am.
The fish were small, most where 10" to 11" with an occasional 12". the largest fish was 13 1/2". Unfortunately wasn't caught by me.
To me it was good weather, good fishing after I found the fish and getting reacquainted with an old school mate.
