If you could choose only ONE Scripture passage what would it be?
mine would have to be:
Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
Matt

Wow, there are so many, but it would hard not to put John 3:16 on the top. Pretty much sums up the good news of the N.T. in just a few beautiful words.
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

This question is like asking does a Zebra have white stripes or does he have black stripes.?
John 1:29
29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
KJV
Just 1 of many.

It seems to change over time, depending on the season. Right now, it's Micah 6:8.
He has shown you Oh man, what is good and what the Lord requires of you - but to do Justly, and to love Mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

Mine has always been:
Revelation 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty."
This has always been in my mind for a long time. God has shown me in this verse that he was there in the biginning and he will be there in the end. He is also who is, who was and who is to come. He is the same God now, the same God in the past and the same God who is to come. This gives me a sense og hope and Love that God is Almighty.

The verse I gave to both of my children when they headed off to college...
Jeremiah 29:11-12
"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all of your heart."

Matt, you have obviously borrowed my favorite verse by accident. Give it back now.
And you call yourself an officer of the law.
Definately a good verse, isn't it.

Life:
Isaiah 40:31
But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
Hunting:
Acts 10:10-15
Then he became very hungry and wanted to eat; but while they made ready, he fell into a trance and saw heaven opened and an object like a great sheet bound at the four corners, descending to him and let down to the earth. In it were all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air. And a voice came to him, "Rise, Peter; kill and eat." But Peter said, "Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean." And a voice spoke to him again the second time, "What God has cleansed you must not call common."

Oops, I guess I was only supposed to choose one scripture!
WOW. What a blessing to actually post on a forum something biblical. I love it. This is not an easy question. My wife and I absolutly love Psalm 139. I recently gave a message to the youth in our church about Job. And the one verse that really stuck with me was Job 38:4.
After 35 chapters of hearing about Jobs unjustified suffering, he wanted to meet with God face to face and find out why he was suffering. Because in the Old Testiment he was the closest thing to a perfect human (before Christ came).
When God finally spoke to Job, he said "Take up your loins like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me. (Now remember this is GOD speaking to Job - so he is in the presence of GOD!)
Then God says..."Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me, if you understand." That just really struck me that I don't have to know all about God, this is why he gave us a spirit of awe and wonder. If we had all knowledge of God and his will...IT WOULD MESS US UP! We wouldn't be able to handle it. In the end Job is double blessed by enduring is suffering and not cursing God.
Thank you for a chance to share. In HIS grace!
