The first annual tourny was won by Ron Hobbs Jr. and Jonas Petit with 18+lbs, and a little check for $7,500. Second had 17+lbs, and there were four 16+lb bags. We only caught 13lbs, and had the most frustrating day of fishing EVER. First off the two 6lb largies I found on beds last weekend were gone. Then my dad lost a 4lb even smallie I caught off a bed last weekend. We fished for that fish for FOUR more hours, and finally gave up. While he was on that fish, I fan casted that area, and lost a 3.5-4 smallie right under me. After we moved to another spot I lost one that was well over 4lbs when it jumped. With 3 hours left we only had one small largie in the box, which makes it hard to gain ground. We caught seven smallies during the last three hours that were all 2.5-2.6lb clones, and that was it. Fish were caught shallow on plastics and crankbaits. I don't know who won the celebrity division, but it was cool seeing all the seahawks and especially seagals at the dinner Friday night, and especially cool gettin a pick with em.
