All of the following have worked for me and my friends at some point.
Herring
large jointed Rapalas
Kwikfish
jointed Kwikfish
J-plugs
Silver Hordes
Assassins
Apex
large jigs
trolled worm behind lake trolls
all plugs and herring either alone, with large abe and al dodgers or homemade willow blade lake trolls
Scents: anise, garlic, shrimp and anise
Colors ranging from fire tiger, blue/silver, green, white, pink, clown
............get the idea? Lots of things will work. When a low pressure is coming thru pretty much nothing works. Just ask the guys at this years derby at Cultus.

In Canada they have a trolling spoon called "The Canadian Wonder". It is almost like a mini nickle dodger, thin, light, about 3" long, but a little tapered. I picked up a bunch after a successful trip many years ago. They work well here too alone or behind a 000 dodger. I hooked a big one at Odell last year on this lure. I am sure that other types of salmon trolling spoons would work well too.
Also, I discovered that lake trout like Power Bait too. Fishing was slow at Cultus 2 years ago in July and my kids wanted to catch fish. So, I anchored in a bay by a drop off in about 20ft of water. I figured we might be able to catch some rainbows on Power Bait. My son hooked one right away but it was an 18" lake trout. Each of us in turn caught a fish every 5 to 10 minutes. A guide boat was trolling near by and the clients were noticing all our fish. On the next pass, the guide asked what we were using. After I told him, I could see he was having an animated discussion with his clients. The boat turned around; the guide had a dejected look on his face as he anchored up next to us. We headed in for breakfast.
