I have two deep cycle batterys and i discovered that the trolling motor is only hooked up to one battery not the perko switch , can anyone tell me why i would not hook the trolling motor up to the perko switch, so that i can use both batterys :shrug:

Is it a electric trolling motor?
Then you do not want it connected to both batteries so you know for sure one battery will have enough juice to start your boat motor. If it is not electric then I have no idea why you want to be connected to both batteries at the same time.
