Went up to bonny friday and saturday. First thing friday morning. My shift cable was almost impossible to move. So I pushed it forward and tied the two wires together so I could start it without having to return to neutral. Than all I did was keep it pushed forward for the two days. The shift cable only moves the first little bit of the handle moving. After that you're just using the throttle. You got no reverse, but you can still fish.
