I live in redmond and last sunday my brother and i left redmond for cresent lake at about 4 am I had a friend up there already. we get there at about 5:30 am the lake was nasty. i radioed my buddy on the lake and he tells me that they are pulling off . that the lake was too windy. so after a couple of words for the wind we set out for paulina. we back track hwy 97 to the turn off and start to head up the lake . when we get about a mile from the lake it starts to snow. now i dont mind a little snow but it was close to white out condtions. ok now i am really mad and i want to go fishing so what do i do. I head for home the spend the rest of the day in self pitty. when i get there my little girl begs me to take her on the new boat so after a lite breakfast the boat is still hooked up. me and maddie head off for haystack (only 20 mins from my front door and after a 200 mile round trip of the cascade lakes) we only fished for about 15 min when my daughter yells its pulling dad it pulling and what do you know she land this nice planter and it turned a bad day into one my best with my girl.

She already knows the technique of holding the fish forward so it looks bigger in the photo.

That is beautiful - it's awesome when the kids get a nice bend in the rod with very little pain or suffering.
Makes them Dad's little fishing buddy for life. My oldest girl who is only 5 has been fishing with me since before she turned 3 and now she wants to go all the time.
I always make sure that the fishing is good, the time spent actually fishing isn't very much and that if they want to go, we just go get an icecream instead
Good job!
