Anybody else headed up to Paulina for the weekend? I'll be up there Thursday through Monday. Anybody got a couple open seats? Or how bout just some tips for catching some rainbows off the bank over there (best spots, depth, etc). Also, where is the best spot to drop some crawdad traps? In the shallows or do I have to drop them way down deep? Thanks guys. Feel free to PM.

MY WIFE AND I WERE UP THERE LAST SUNDAY IN THE SNOW AND THE WIND AND THE FOG.
DID NOT DO WELL TROLLING ,BUT FINALLY FOUND WHERE THEY WERE JUMPING AND STARTED CASTING LURES TO THEM AND ENDED UP DOING QUITE WELL.

GOOD LUCK AND TIGHT LINES:smile:

The Ones We Kept Were 10 To 13 Inches.
Threw Back Some Smaller Ones. Let Them Grow Up For Later In The Summer.

We'll be heading up there tomorrow for five days/ YAHOO! If fishing from the bank I would hike the trail on the cabin side of the lake and plunk for Browns. I've seen peopl do quite well there. Also, On the south side off the boulders can produce some fish as well. Sounds from the reports so far not real hot, but wait for me to intice them to wake up:smash: I'll be in a red NR. Stop by for a whiskey or/and beer and say hello.

Pox, leave some for me, I have a week in the middle of June... Go to the east side campground, go to end of road and park in parking lot. go on trail to rocky area just before the warm spring. Fish off the rocks, it drops pretty good there.

Fishing from the bank on the cabin side (west) can be tough as a shelf goes out quite a ways before dropping off. I have seen browns cruising the shelf, but I think you could do better at the rocks on the north end of the lake.

Early in the year, the cove where the hot spring is can be good cause it warms up first and it is relatively shallow.

Good Luck.
