Dad wanted to hit McClure for some kings after hearing a report from a buddy. This friend's reports are usually dubous at best but dad wanted to go so we did.
We ran up the river and I rolled shad and dad pulled a white grub. I got two small kings on shad and dad got a couple of trout on the grubs. I got fou or five short strikes on the shad too, they just were not wanting to eat. About 10 it died completely so we ran down lake for kokes.
Fished 35 to 50 feet with anything small and pink. The crappie mini jigs worked very well again. Ended with about 15 kokes in the boat, kept 8 to go along with the kings.
