Does anyone have an idea where I can get some uncured eggs? Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Kevin

I would say that you will have a tough time finding fresh eggs right now. There just is no place for them to come from. The only fish around anywhere(ocean, rivers, Alaska) are too immature to have eggs worth using in them. The only way I think you can find uncured eggs is to find one of the bait sellers who froze uncured eggs last year. You might try D&G bait in Portland. Or I would say you will have to wait a couple months.

Thanks Scott,

I realize I am going to have to put up some real eggs this fall. Funny thing is, I saw an uncured skeen in Fred Meyers bait freezer a few weeks ago. It isn't there anymore images/icons/smile.gif. I would settle nicely for some frozen at this point in time. Thanks for the suggestion.

D&G has 30lb lots for $5/lb fresh frozen chum eggs. I think I will pass unless someone needs 25 lbs of chum eggs.

Call the guide shop down in Tillamook. They flash frozen chinnok and silver eggs for $8 lb. www.guideshop.com (http://www.guideshop.com)

Bugleman,I would give up on the trying to get the uncured eggs this time of year and buy some already cured ones from Carol's in Tillamook or Amerman's.I wouldn't waste your time with already frozen uncurred eggs they won't turn out very good and the people I mentioned have the best cured eggs you can buy in my opinion.
