Just got the news that Dad will have surgery on Tuesday next week. Consultation on Friday, Check in monday at 2pm at St V's. We are relieved that they will even attempt this for him as it is very important for his future well being. At this time Dad is pretty limited in his mobility due to having pain as soon as he excerts himself.
Keep him in your prayers as this is a very risky proceedure.

Lord, I pray that You will guide the surgeons hands on Tuesday. You are the miracle worker and the healer. And Lord, just be with Catch and Eat and his family as his Dad is in surgery and that You will help them keep there eyes, heart, and mind focused on You through this struggle. Another ambulance ride to the hospital yesterday for DAD. Bad chest pain around 1 pm sounded the alarm. Poor guy his pretty down that he can't even get up and wander around the house without having pain.
Good news is that his blood enzyme levels have steadily dropped since his heart attacks and this is positive news as far as the heart is concerned. Still on track for Tuesday's surgery but he will vacation at the Hotel St. V's for the remainder of the time.

Just got a call from Bernie, they have moved Pop's surgery to tomorrow at 7:30am.
Please be thinking of Pop's and the family and if you can, send prayers during this difficult time.

Update: Message from Bernie at 11:15 am "Dad's surgery went well and he is in recovery as of 11:15 am."

Dad's surgery went very well yesterday. He is recovering nicely and should be out in 5 to 7 days.
Keep him in your prayers as he has vein problems in the neck. 100% block left side and 75% block in the right.

Went up to see Dad last night. They moved him to a regular room yesterday morning and removed many of the tubes that he was threaded with. He is very weak, tired and nauseated right now. He did not realize just how weak he had become during the past month and four heart attacks later. But realization hit him yesterday and he is realizing it will be awhile before he recovers from this. He also seemed a bit discouraged for some reason but that may pass as he begins to feel better.
Keep him in your prayers please. He's gonna need all he can get. Hopefully today will be a better day.

Spoke with Dad a little while ago on the phone and he sounds much better. He felt pretty punked this morning but says he feels like he may have turned the corner this afternoon. Sounded much more upbeat and excited about getting the last few tubes taken out of his chest. He says he will do some more walking this afternoon and press toward getting out of there Friday or Saturday.
