CATCH AND EAT

Can't keep a good man down. He's been pushing pretty hard the last week and he has ended up back in the hospital this morning with more chest pain. Mom drove him to kaiser around 8:30am or so and they have him in emergency. His pain has been relieved by the doctors their and now they are observing him. I am still at work but will go to see him on the lunch hour.
He's been having both good and bad days during the last week but today was a pretty bad day with pain at level 7 on 1-10 scale. Not sure what is in store the rest of the day but please send up a few prayers for him. I am sure he is a little discouraged today and could use some devine intervention about right now.

Thanks folks. I tell ya I really feel like a yo-yo right now with my own heart strings concerning Dad. I can only imagine how he feels right now.
Okay here's the scoup. He was given the option to stay at Kaiser or go home until a surgery date could be given. He has been ordered to become the ultimate couch potatoe and do pretty much nothing. He's gonna hate that I can assure you since he is a type A kind of guy. He did have some enzymes release from the heart but the docs stop short of saying he had another heart attack. Whatever that means I guess.
So he is home. He has promised to be a good boy this time and take it easy with no fishing, deck replacment projects, mowing yards or even washing the pickup. Darn near bedrest orders.
Surgery. Looks like some risky, invasive surgery ahead requiring ultimate skill and patience on the part of the surgeon. We are hopeful that they will do this ASAP so that Dad can get on with his life. He says he is ready right NOW!!!! He wants to tuna fish in September and if they keep dinking around this will most likely not happen.
Keep him in your prayers friends. Thanks again.

C and E:
I can fully understand the pain you are going through because I'm going through much the same. My dad is in the intensive care unit at St. Josephs Hospital in Atlanta suffering from metastatic cancer. Our family and church have been praying for him, and he is in good spirit because of his relationship with Christ and our Lord's faithfulness.
We will be praying for your beloved dad too.
I would like too give my heartfelt thanks to all of our ifish friends who have prayed for both of our fathers through these trying times.

Dullhook, I'll be praying for your father too. And it is so great to have this small group of folks praying for our families. I truly believe it does make a huge difference. Amazing support from amazing people. Thanks everyone.
For Dad it is just a wait and see deal. Waiting for a surgery date and see if they can do something for him. We are confident that God will bless the surgeons hands and mind to find a way to give dad a little more time here with us. We cherish what he has given so far.
We will be praying for all of you guys!
