I know eagle creek on the clack used to get a good chinook run, but I thought that the hatchery program was drastically cut back and that fishing wasn't really any good out there anymore. But I talked to a kid in GI joes yesterday who swore up and down to me that he and his friends have been hooking bright salmon and steelhead all the way up to Eagle Fern. Is this kid full of it or could there be fish in there? I know that while fishing silvers early last October I did catch a 35lb. springer that was really dark, and I saw quite a few others up near the hatchery. So I guess the question is not wether or not they are there, but rather are they there in fishable numbers? Does anyone know? If so is it worth going now, or should a guy wait a month or two until June or July? Thanks for any info. images/icons/smile.gif
