Sssshhhhhh....... LOL. Over the years in lower Trask Tidewater, the window is the last two hours down to low and the first hour of incoming, although sometimes they keep coming and biting on the incoming.

Don't always believe the Springers in tidewater always come through shallow, (5 to 12 feet on the bobber setting) and neglect to set your bobber stopper a foot/couple feet off the bottom sometimes. Change around, but always go back to that depth and try again after numerous drifts or no action with bobber, eggs and sandshimp combo, just like the fall. They also LOVE anchovy scent in tidewater, on a small piece of yarn right above your hook, or at least they have for me. It is true they don't typically hold over in the lower holes for very long like fall fish. An "any tide" with some rain and right time kinda deal. Driftboat/small boat and small motor time in this area, although I've taken my big boat up. It's nice, but also nice to leave more room in the holes for everyone, if you have a small boat to use. If not, not. Watch your props at low tide. Blenders, no prob.

Talk about a MEAN FIGHT hooked that close, then it's WWF ONE ON ONE, cause you kinda need to keep them close sometimes due to hole size, snags etc. Used to live for it when there were numbers. Still do.

There are some great guides and locals on this board who know this overall fishery very well.

(Don't tell Jennie though LOL and leave me a spot, OK?). images/icons/wink.gif
