Have you guys heard of this boat, do any of you have one. I'm looking at a 14 ft with trailer for $450.00. Rated for 600lb person, 1000lbs total. If you have one tell me where you have taken it, and how well it handles in bigger water, I.E. columbia sloughs etc.
Thanks for your help!

Does anyone have any info? I might buy this boat today, but don't want to make a mistake if this isn't a good boat. This will mainly be a Lake/Willamette fishing boat with some duck hunting mixed in.

Lets hear your opinions on 14-15ft fiberglass boats in general.
Seeing as there have been 77 views of your post and no replies, i'll give you my 2 cents. And seeing as all you have to do is google Columbia fiberglass Boat and you can see your boat.
I'd say it was all about freeboard, how much distance between the water and the gunnels and top of the transom. Hang some weight on the transom and put you and a buddy in the boat with something to simulate the weight of the gear, cooler, gas tank etc...Then put her in the water and see how stable it is, and what the freeboard is. How stable is she when you and your buddy both move to one side? I know you sure don't want to be on the Willamette, in a boat with too little freeboard!
One other thing, the transom probably has a wood core, make very very sure that the wood is NOT...NOT dry rotted! Seems a bit strange to me that someone would sell a boat like that, with trailer no less, for the small sum of $450.00.
Looks like a great deal on a unique boat!

So from what I gather, they also go under the name "olympian". I had an 11ft olympian when I was a kid and put countless hours on that thing before we got rid of it. It had a 5 horse evinrude on it and I was just light enough that it would get on step and go like crazy as long as I was close to sea level.
I spent a lot of my time running around on the lower Nehalem with it. I remember it being very well built and stable, but I was definitely a little smaller back then !!!
