My wife and I are doing too much Bass fishing and want to change boats, I need help to figure out a sellable price on my 04 Weldcraft Maverick 201DV. It's a 20 foot canvas topped lake trout killing machine. I have a f150 2 stroke Yamaha and Yamaha T-8 kicker with a TR1 Gold autopilot. Garmin GPS/Sonar, pursuit rails, Cannon mag 20s and tandem axle trailer. Thanks for any free advice, Mike http://momentoffame.com/photopost/data/514/medium/91105mackalley_002.jpg

Not directly related to you size and what not of a boat but......

Recently moved up in boats. I had a 2000 Weldcraft Angler with a 2004 Suzuki DF40. I was thinking my boat was worth around $5000 and offfered it to a couple friends for that who turned me down, glad they did.

What I did was buy the boat trader three or four weeks in a row. Compared mine out there to similar boats and also watched Craigslist for a while. Took it to a dealer to see what I would get on trade and he told me $7500.

Sold it for $9500, originally paid $12,500 brand new for it. Sold it two weeks ago. Compare yours to other boats and price accordingly. I had mine in the boat trader first but it sold with in one day of listing on craigslist.

Quickest and most accurate is nadaguides.com. Its like a free Kelly Blue book for boats and rv's.

Thanks, I'll look at the NADA guide, but when I tried online Weldcaft and Duckworth weren't in there. Jason, I found the same issue with a dealer, they told me my boat was worth 18.000, I paid 32,000 so I'm going to either keep it or sell it myself. MIke
Edit, I just looked again, the nadaguide doesn't list Weldcraft or Duckworth

I have a very good friend looking for a boat similar to yours. Have you got a ball park price yet? Thanks

I woulda jumped all over that. They're nuts for passing up that price.

Shoot a price out that you want on Craigslist and see what happens. Price it higher than you think it's worth, you will be amazed how fast a clean boat will sell.
