Everyone has very strong opinions, one way or the other on netting and other issues.
Remember, you are free to express yourself on ifish, but the ifish statement you agreed to states absolutely NO RACIAL SLURS.
You can more effectively state your opinion, and work to get things changed in our favor better by approaching these issues without name calling.

Actually, BIGSTEW, it was your point, and I thought it was a good one.
When presenting a case, or arguing a point and you want to make a change, it is best not to use racial slurs. You do lose credibility.
Is that with an a or an i? Credability???

What's the really dumb part to me is that most of the "wild or nate" fish that we are releasing are just hatchery fish that didn't get clipped.....and then they get netted!!!!! ARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHH!!!!!
Good luck and tight lines, Jeff images/icons/grin.gif images/icons/grin.gif

It's easy to get worked up and start thinkin racist thoughts when it effects something you strongly believe in. I believe that all net fisherman are mis-informed. Don't blame them, blame the gov't that gives them their quotas. You'd do it to if you were misinformed.

Racial slurs do nothing but show ones ignorance. The tribal netting issues is an example of how government interferance has made a problem even worse than it was before. The gillnetters have found loopholes in the law and now it's being abused! I'm going to the Columbia gorge this weekend and will post picutres of what I see.
There should be no gillnets or any nets on the Columbia river at all!

Good point Jen. It's so very frustrating to know that the nice native springer you released below Bonneville dam is very likely to end up being sold by the roadside in Hood River or Cascade Locks or the Dalles the next day. The logic of this escapes me.
