Well I didn't know what to expect out there...what with the fish counts at the dam being down. We launced at about 11:30 a.m. left the dock after cruising the parking lot for about 15 minutes trying to find a parking spot. Well...there's still alot of fish out there folks. In four hours..we had 5 on...landed two keepers. (hey..what can I say?? I let my dough-ball friend brawl all but the last fish to the boat.) I had stuff to do so we left at 4 p.m. The two fish we did get didn't have sea lice on them like the ones we got the few days before the river closed. Could it be the "tail end" of the run??? I dunno...I just know my odds are better there than the Willamette. Good luck out there...and don't leave your anchor overnite in the spot I found....or the other spot I found...or you may never see it again!! Well...at least it won't be where you left it!! Good luck to all out there this weekend!! images/icons/grin.gif

It wasn't that good today, today was one of the slowest days,I've had there.I saw 7 fish caught by 11:00 today not one in my boat nor in the boats next to me,I guess today was the aftermath of three days of gillnetting in the lower river hopefully there will be more fish comeing thru tomorrow and the weekend.I hope so anyway can't fish tomorrow but I WILL be out there sat.& sun.I did lose one down by the corner on a spinner my friend tied it up while I was driveing down there and HIS KNOT CAME UNDONE !!!!! images/icons/frown.gif Yes we did go home after that, he was already on my s--- list being 50 min late to the dock this topped it off.I sent him home to his wife and his lawnmower images/icons/smile.gif images/icons/smile.gif
paybacks are a bi--- right. images/icons/tongue.gif images/icons/smile.gif

The boat launch isn't to bad if you get there early 4:30 or 5:00 after that it starts getting those long waits to launch and getting there early you can get decent parking. For you that don't know it now cost $6.00 to launch there.A year round pass is $35.00 if you launch there a lot its worth it.The launch is off highway 14 turn in at Westle ford and follow the road around to the launch.

Bob,
Do you know when the nets went in and when they came out?
Thanks.

I believe they went in sunday night and know that they came out wed. morning. They were given three days, they may have been given more,I'm not sure. But they did come out wed. morning. The dam count has dropped way off since the 20th down to somwthing like 7000 or less fish on the 23rd it was less then 5000 fish.I go to http//www.fpc.org/currentdaily/7day-ytd_adults.htm ,to get the fish count.Had to put the address this way,I don't know how to get it highlighted so you can click on it,sorry. images/icons/frown.gif
