Yes, I know it was a zoo, but unfortunately I've got a couple of buddies who still want to try it tomorrow. Any guesses on the number of boats - numbers of fish per boat - general comments. How 'bout lines in and out at the ramps, including the name of the ramp and the time? If you were crazy enough to do it on Thursday, what time would you recommend being at the ramp (no jokes please, its just too easy a straight line images/icons/wink.gif

Hot lures or bait??

Thanx,
Don

The reports I am getting point towards the fact that today was not all that hot. (Unless of course you were fishing with fishrus!)
Anyway, all up and down the river... maybe tomorrow?

There isn't a fish worth takeing my boat into that mess.I'll take my chances on not catch nothing down here,I put in at 4:45 this morning in camas and had to wait in line(not long about 20 min)it was going really smooth everything I've heard about the dam is nothing but BAD !!,but if you have to go
turn in at the dam and go right towards the hi-bank you'll see the road to the launch on your left.BETTER GET THERE REAL EARLY !!
Good Luck. images/icons/smile.gif

I heard that it was a 3 hour wait to launch, unless you were way, way, way up front. Sounds like the longest line in the history of long lines. images/icons/shocked.gif The counts are down and the fishing isn't as hot as it was on Easter images/icons/rolleyes.gif

Went up with Kinebra today. Drove by the fishery, saw the line backed up to the intersection. Thought we would put in on the WA side until we looked across the river and saw the line there. Turned around and put in at Rooster rock uneventfully and ran up to the deadline. I couldn't believe the swarm of boats there. With some serious coaching from Jerry we worked our way up and down through the mess several times and Jerry nailed a hatchery fish bouncing eggs and missed a few other bites. No more luck up there so we anchored on one of the many lines and hooked up with two fat nates on kwickies. You couldn't get me back in that mess Saturday if you paid me (ok maybe $250 a head and you supply the eggs and lunch). Hopefully there will be some decent lower river reports and we'll hit the Rainier area Saturday. BTW, it was a pleasure fishing with Kinebra for the first time today. Many good people here at ifish... Joe
