This is my first post on the warmwater side. A neighbor reciently gave Me and old tackle box and in it I found some old repala & rebel Minnows. They were like the ones I used as a kid in the late 50's & 60's

I just had to try them out. This beautiful female was released after these pics. were taken, I.m glad I had My camera. It's habit, I fish for wild steelhead and it's always around My neck for pics.
I have never seen small bass in this pond & hope she has a male to spawn with. She fought well with three long runs. she gave My 9.5 4 to 12 lb. rod a workout. I forgot how much I missed bass fishing. I grew up fishing Clear lake in northern California for largemouth and the Russian River for smallmouth. My best smallmouth there was 21 inchs. long and I released it. It was uncomon to release bass in 1969.

Also got a pic. of a little blacktail watching the pond.:)

I'll see what I can come up with. It might be tuff with The Summer Steelhead and Spring Chinook coming on.
I do need to check out a few more of the valley ponds with those old lures before the weeds take over. Wish Me luck.:)
I will be lurking on here more often, You guys catch some beautiful bass.
