Has anybody tried these rods? I am looking at the XMG 722 and it feels pretty stiff but very sensitive. I would appreciate your opinions.

Any opinions on the GLoomis Crank Bait series would also be appreciated.

Thanks,

FiHuFu

I've got the 724. Very nice. I use mine for trolling or vertical jigging walleye mainly -not for casting. Super sensative.

Hey FiHufun check out www.wraptor.org (http://www.wraptor.org) for a bass rod he builds custom rods his prices are very reasonable and he uses all lamiglas blanks so they are guarrentied if you break them check out the site and then give him a call him his name is Jay tell him Cliff told you to call him and you might get a better price. He is out of hillsboro so he is local.

I actually like my wraptor rods. I also bought one for my daughter, so she could go trout fishing with me or just fishing. She picked the bright green on and I picked out a nice dark to light red on. They had an electric blue, but it was too heavy of a pole for what I wanted.

you mentioned something about a loomis crankbait rod...dont waste your time with them...look at a lamiglas competitor 6'8'' power 5 model CFC 685, it is there E-glass product and it is AWSOME!!! i own one myself....or check there Certified Pro Bass Fiberglass rods...they are the best around!!!! and they are cheaper and better than loomis in my opinion.:twocents:

I agree with pitchnboy, for the price you can't beat lamiglas' rods. I strictly use lamiglas and love them. Cant say I tried their e-glass series yet though. Good luck to you on your rod selection.
