After checking out the encouraging hog bass reports and the not so hot springer reports I decided to chase our local residents. Fishing wasn't hot by any means but we managed to land these two beauts and cracker one a piece. Still kicking myself after loosing the biggest bass of my life. We were fishing Bomber A's and crawdad colored wiggle warts East of Bonneville dam. We reeled like the damned blazes to get'em down then did the slow crank once they were in the "Zone". The water temp must have barily been warm enough for activity because both fish faught lousy, very uncharacteristic compared to other smallies I've caught. The big one taped out to 19 3/4 and the little guy was 16. Great day on the water though, always enjoy my month of bassin' before the shiny critters get upstream.

A good angler is a good angler- no matter what fish. Great versitility and open-mindedness! Nice fish! Dave

Very nice fish. It's been a while since I chased bass. Thanks to these promising reports I'm getting that itch again. But why are the best smallie places so far away? Just a rhetorical question.

It's only an hour to the mid-Columbia from Portland and you don't need a 30 K bass boat to catch hogs. Their's plenty to be had banking it from the rip-rap. Just read the rhetorical part, disregard.

Nice feesh, AA! Surprised you didn't pick up a LM in there.
That one corner of rip-rap is always good for one or two.
Couple nice ones.
