Launched out of Cedar oaks at noon on Friday. It was a beautiful day on the river, fishing again was not very consistent. I lost one good fish on a smallie beaver, and caught a decent keeper dragging a beaver later in the day. Water was 52 degrees in the main sections, and the cove next to Cedar Oaks launche was running 56 degrees and warmer in a few spots. The amount of boat traffic was amazing for April. Always a lot of Springer fisherman, but the pleasure boaters and jet skiers were out in full force. Only saw 2 other boats fishing bass.
