Banjo Minnow Users?

:) Hello Everyone :)
I recently purchased a Banjo Minnow fishing package off of TV (they still have those commercials!). It is the new & improved version of the lures, but I got a package that I sadly never used about 5 years ago (lost all of the important parts), and there isn't much of a difference in the new & old. I was just wondering if any of you have tried it (I'm sure there are some that have), and what their experiences with it was? Does it work well? Are there better methods to fish it other than what the instructional video teaches you to do?
I plan to go out and try it soon for some Bass. But I was just wondering if I could get any additional information from you guys!
I will use it for Bass, unless you can convince me to use it for anything else!

Thanks, 1bigfish. I like the story in that post about the guy catching Trout on them! That is just hilarious, because I would think a trout would be the last thing you would catch on it. Any more information from you guys would be awesome.

every time I see that infomercial I instantly get thrown back to this fella.... Its funny how some things just get etched in your memory...... My uncle slays the walleye and northerns in Minnesota on the banjo minnow. when I fished with him a few years ago, the only trouble I had with them besides keeping the fish off the hook was the tracking. too fast and it go off into an unreal looking pattern. pay attention to what you were doing and they were deadly.

Here's what ya' do with that Banjo Minner.....Stash the unopened box somewhere in the back of a closet and....Forget about it! In 50 or 60 years it will be worth what you paid for it, to a colector of old fishing lures!

I use Banjo Minnows, they do work well from time to time. Some trips you cant keep the Bass off them and other times they work as goo as a regular Plastic worm.

Again, thanks for all of the helpful comments. I hope they keep coming. One of the things that the instructional video stressed is that if you don't fish the lure the way that it tells you to, that you will not have nearly as much success as you would if you fished it the "right way", with the genetic response retrieves and techniques. I think once I figure out how to perform these techniques that they will work as well as they should.
