Fished for a few hours today, and caught one largie at 2.5lbs, and missed four others on jigs. The water is 58 on the southend, and 55 on the northend. For those interested, the launch will not be reconstructed until this January.

Hit Spanaway on Fri. the 6th. Awesome day to be out, beautiful weather. Fish we rising all over the place, mainly the small 6-8 inch stocker trout. I trolled a small number 14 mosquito, and caught one triploid, about 15 inches and fat, i mean football fat. Had a couple other hits but nothing else. Fished for smallmouth for about 45 minutes on some of the rocky areas we know of. My dad hooked a nice smallie, about 18 inches and full of eggs, had a big belly on her. Got her to the boat, but on the final run she pulled free, so we did not get to weight her. All in all not a bad way to start the year. Oh yeah, hooked the smallie on a 4" brown with green fleck kalins grub, 1/8oz head. Dad pitched it close to a dock on the rocky side.
