I have been looking on the net for a charger that runs off the motor and can plug in to a outlet or something like that. That way my trolling motor batteries can be charged while I am running up and down the river, and when I get home I could plug it in to be charging or maint. charge. Thx for any help in advance.

This akin to perpetual motion, in a sense, IT AIN`T GOING TO HAPPEN!

Stealth Charger system. Manages all you power charging needs.
SPENDY THOUGH, but very convienient.
I'm too cheap to get one. I just connect my big motor to my troll banks directly. I know, I know Minn-Kota says your not supposed to but I've never had a problem on either of my MK Autopilots.
If you didn't want to do that you could....with a little thinking use battery isolators and big diodes to control the flow of current one way into the troll banks but I'm not sure it's really worth it IMHO.

I installed the stealth unit for my 36Volt system it charges the main 12 volts on starting motor battery. once it is up to 12.8 volts it switches to 36 volt out put at 20 amps and charges my trolling motor bank. it also does same thing with my built in 110 volt 5 amp charging sytem.
designed to charge batteries when trolling motor is not running. so when your running to new spot it charges the batteries. do not run big motor and trolling motor at same time.
you can PM me if you want to come over and look at my system

read an article once on how to rig up your tow rig to allow you to pull juice from your alternator directly into your trolling batteries so you can recharge as you tow your boat.
definately be a bit more than i would want to take on electronically cause I am an idiot in the field of auto/marine wiring but a pro shop should have some ideas for what you asked about.

read an article once on how to rig up your tow rig........
That's called the Stay-N-Charge Gorilla system (http://www.walleyecentral.com/stayncharge/index.shtml).
But you can do the same thing with a rear mounted jumper cable plug and a pigtail to your bowmount plug with a battery isolator inline. I'm sure it's hard on your alternator and regulator and I'd suggest replacing the alternator in the truck with a beefier heavy duty high output one. Or perhaps their is a current limiting device that could be installed inline w/ the isolator.....sorry just thinking out loud.

This is some good info that you guys are giving me. I also found that Dual Pro SE Xtreme is what I have been looking for. It will charge my battiers while I plug it into an outlet at home, plus it will charge my batteries if I am running the engine up and down the river. Yeah, it ain't cheap, $300.00, but that is second day air to get to me. lol But the nice thing is that it is all one unit, not two like I think so of you guys have. Plus, it has the read outs to tell you where the battery levels, charge, are at. I also would think it I ran some of the wiring for the plug in on the back of the jeep,12v part, that I could make a plug in that way I can charge it while I am on the road.

Dragon don't forget if you have a regular battery charger you don't need the built in charger. if you put an isolator in your jeep and run wire back to boat battery on same leg as out board it should work make sure you install a cut off switch going to your new unit.

I thought about what you said and I don't know if I am going to run some of the stuff from the Jeep now or not. 99% of the time I will just be out for the day and it will be charged up so I should need to charge it with the vehicle, I will still have it charging by the main boat motor and then plug into the wall when I am at home.
