does anyone know where to fish for some smallies and crappie in the salem area? and what to try out?

Just about anywhere you can get bank access around some flow and rocky areas/cover has produced for me in the past. Caught one today that was about #2 on a whole worm drifted through a back eddie with a nice current break and some large rocks. :idea:

When I shore fished it I would go by Wheatland ferry by the boat ramp and do good dshotting 3 inch Senkos and throwing t-rigged hula grubs in pumpkinseed color.

I also hiked along the river at Minto Brown park and caught quite a few along the rocks. look for eddies and current breaks.

I had my best luck when it was lower.
