Everytime someone does they get inudated with queries about WHERE WHERE WHERE. The internet is not the way to scout and I really love seeing the great pics, please! And NO, I did not break my big fish off! The hook pulled out because she got wrapped in some fishing line. Sorry guys, I'm tired and in a foul mood- he he. Dave

Everyone has there secret lakes, I have plenty. It's normal not wanting to tell people were you get them. I do the same thing your doning hunter9, the lakes I fish only have about 2 people fishing it per day. There are plenty of days were it's just me and my dad, and if I were to spill my guts about where I get them because then everyone will want to fish that lake and then it will get to crowded.

I agree.

I will tell you where I am fishing I.E. the Willy in the Salem or Newberg area but if you want to know exactly the locations then you have to go fishing with me.

When I moved here 2 years ago nobody showed me any spots I just bought a boat and hit the river and learned my good spots on my own. I have taken a few people fishing and they have showed me some areas they like and vice a versa.

It was very satisfying learning the river mostly on my own. I try new spots all the time that is what makes it fun.

Things I like to see in any report is #1 PICS, and #2 Water temp, and #3 a very general location

Dave,I hope I havn't caused you grief due to my questions reguarding your line in the other thread? I would never expect a basser, or most other fisherman for that matter, to give detailed directions to his exact spots.

But bassers can be, in my opinion, just as snobby as salmon fisherman if they aren't even willing to give a patern or lure type that they are using to catch fish.

Please tell me I'm wrong, and that, we bassers are not becoming like the "Rabid salmon and steelhead fishers" PLEASE!

He He!

Not at all, SMJ. I just worded my thread poorly and I got alot of emails from guys saying I need to use heavier or fresh line- my own fault- it made it sound like I broke mine off. On patterns: All three of the over 8 pound fish that were hooked between my friend and I (one monday, two friday) were all on jigs. Everyone was assuming they were swimbait fish but the fish will not position themselves in a swimbait-catchable spot during an early moon phase. Now next week might be a different story......:smash:

Dave, I always love the info you provide. I am just starting to know enough about catching bass to know how much I don't know. Please give me the rundown on how the phases of the moon effect the fish or where I can read up on this info. Does it effect the smallies in the Willy the same?

Thanks for your help!!!
