Well, we were one of only about four driftboats on thr lower float from Dabne down. There were a couple of sleds but all in all it was pretty light out there today. We had one take down right off the bat in the tailout below the Stark street bridge (most likely a steelhead for where we were). Other than that we got nothing else, there were a few other steelhead caught that we heard of but no springers. We talked with a few people who floated from Oxbow down and about the same story. Pretty slow all in all but a beautiful day on the river none the less.

PS What's up with all the anchoring in the middle of the drift today. We had a real problem with people doing this today. Remember, when everyone else is backtrolling you need to do the same.

Hey Artwo,
Yes it was pretty slow out there. I had been out there too today. I actually caught my first Steelhead today on that River. I was with Sandy river Guide Service. It was a beutiful Native aprox. 8-10 lbs. From talking to other people on the river it was the only one landed today!! images/icons/grin.gif About anchoring in those holes, YEP, seen alot of that today. I wonder if any of those other guys know about that or read this Board. Hope you broke the news to them real gentle like. Some of them were in some of those holes sounds like 3-4 hrs at a time. Is that know as Squatters rights? images/icons/confused.gif I am knew to this river still and am also learning the etiquette. This Board has helped me out alot in that respect. Or should I say respect fot the river and fellow fisherpeople? Which Boat were you today and what time did you do your drift?? Smily
