Heading to the metolius for the day 3/29/07 if anyone wants to meet me there. I will be driving a 93 dodge red P/U. I am leaving portland around 6 so I should be there by eight thirty. I will start below allingham and work down. Also if anyone has any reports that would be awesome!

Fished for 6 hrs total and I hooked into 1 fish(13 in) with several bumps. Sorry guys no pics. Very nice day 65 degrees with a pretty good caddis hatch. Fish were rising a whole 15 min...just long enough to get me excited. I worked from allingham to just above the canyon campground. There were fish everywhere, and I could see their flashes from them feeding on nymphs. On several occasions the fish would come to scope out my mige pupas, hare ears, and prince nymphs and they were turning away. I am thinking I need to go to a smaller tippet. I was using 4x and that was too much. I might go down a little smaller next time and even go with the flurocarbon. It was a beautiful day and I will be heading back prob the second weekend of april if it is nice weather. Any one interested in meeting there PM and we can nail things out.:twocents:
