I need a 3-5hp horizontal shaft Briggs and Stratton engine. I believe it needs to be a 5/8ths shaft as well.

check costco, I was just looking at an engine there. not briggs, but same size. :)

I have a 3.5 hp with a cheapo plastic water pump on it that I would sell you cheap...it is probably 6-8 years old, but has 2 or less hours on it. I have no idea what the shaft diameter is, but it is horizontal shaft.

I have a 5.5 hp B and S Vanguard, horizontal shaft. It is attached to a pressure washer. I have had it stored, gas drained from tank for 1 year. Not sure of shaft diameter. It ran great a year ago.

Roper is right. The engine I saw was at the Costco off airport way for $150.00.
