I know you guys are smarter than me!! I purchased a Navionics Gold chip for my FF. Inserted it and it works great. (A little slow bringing up the map while zooming, but works great) In the mail yesterday I received a free "Fish N Chips" upgrade?? How the heck do I use both chips?? Can I save the first one on my FF and then plug in the second?? I know this is basic, so don't laugh!!

Thanks for the help,
Green Machine

Nice that you got a free upgrade. I thought you had to mail the old chip back first. My guess is you just use the one they mailed you. I will be following this forum to see how it works out.

You can only use one chip at a time. If you try to copy a Navionics chip it may render it unusable. I got the bonus chip also, but it had nothing on it I was interested in. Since I bought a chip for Vancouver Island offshore, they sent me a chip for inland Vancouver Island.

The new chip is a freebie that Navionics gives you for buying the gold chip. It has info on lakes and etc. I got one with my new gold chip and have not had occasion to use it yet.

I beleive the free "Fish-N-Chip" is a high-detail bathy chart for ocean use. When I got the mailer it said that was only for near/offshore use. You would have to use the gold chip to get there, then switch to the Fish-n-chip for the high detail while fishing.

I wonder how much more detail there is off Oregon on the "Fish-N-Chip" chip?
