Can anyone recommend a shop in PDX (east side) for a complete service for my tandem axle trailer?

I would need new bearings, brakes (surge) and seals.

Thanks!

Any Les Schwab should be able to take care of it for you.

Six Robblees in Milwaukie sells trailor parts. You can buy the whole backing plate with all brake parts attached for about $50 each side. Even with my limited mechanical apptitude, it was a fairly simple task. Plus you can pick their brain for step by step instructions.

If you want full service.... Go to LS. I'm taking mine to the local LS store next week for annual trailer service. I've never been disappointed....

Whatever you do I suggest you carry a spare inner and outer bearing/race set and a seal. It seems when they fail it's always on a weekend, in the middle of nowhere, at night, in the rain and your hardware is the ONE size that nobody carries.

I would vote Les Scwab as well. Work is gauranteed wherever you happen to be. Also take the reccomendation to carry spare bearings to heart. I have experienced this first hand 25 miles from no where on the Idaho side of the Snake River. The spare enabled me to limp it back to town.
