I hit Haystack for a few hours this afternoon.
I trolled Blue Fox, Crocodiles, Rooster Tails, and a Rapala.
Didn't even get a drive by. The wind picked up and forced me
and my pontoon boat off the water. Bankies I talked to did not
have any success either.

Thanks for the report. I've never fished Haystack but would like to one of these days. Heard it has some nice-sized kokes. That's reason enough to give it a shot! :cheers:

Threw a half ounce silver-plated Steelie for a half hour there last Tuesday and was rewarded with this nice buck:

I caught my biggest kokanee out of there at 18 inches. Also caught one of my biggest bows out of there at 21" and 4.5 lbs. Both in the month of march.

Fished Haystack on 3/15/07, I was fishing for smallies but hooked a real nice german brown on a 3 inch watermelon senko dropshotted in 25 ft of water. no smallies but a nicetrout.Water was a chilly 45 degrees.

I swear theres no fish in that lake! Never had a bite in 3 trips though my fishfinder says theres fish there!

Well there's the problem, the fish in Haystack don't like swearing. You have to use a fish whistle and they come running..:laugh: SK, next time you have an open seat and are going to Haystack?
