I need to replace my trailer brakes, I have heard that you can get stainless and I was wondering if anyone had tried these or where a guy can find them?
Thanks in advance

you can get them at 6 roblees in Milwaukee and also potter webster.
Be very careful which brand you buy. It is pretty universal that Kodiak brakes work well, especially in salt water application. A lot of the other brands are notorious for wearing out pads and digging into the rotors in very little time. There are a number of guys on this board that have had to change out their disc brakes that came standard on their trailers to Kodiak.
I replaced my brakes on my last trailer with Kodiak and they worked excellent. My current trailer I made sure came with Kodiak, and again, no problems.
If replacing drum hydraulic brakes, make sure your hydraulic actuator will work adequately, and remember that you have to add a reverse lockout solenoid between the actuator and the brake line going to the axles. The solenoid is tied into your reverse backup lights and closes when you put your rig in reverse, thereby eliminating braking in reverse. A big difference bewteen drum and disc is that you overpower the drum in reverse when backing, but you can't overpower a disc brake. It will lock up so tight there is no way to back up.

Nalu is right at every turn here. Just make sure your actuator will work with disk brakes.
I just purchased 2 axles of Kodiak stainless calipers with Cad rotors and brackets for $235.00 per axle on eBay. That is an awesome deal for these sets. I think they had 50 sets available last week when I ordered mine. I received them yesterday and they are everything they are supposed to be. Perfect.
Do a search on this description: Kodiak2/RCM-10-SCAD-SS Disc Brake.
Good luck!

I had tie down engineering stainless disc brakes, they barely made it a year and were toast.
I replaced a couple of the calipers, and new pads and it wasnt long and I had warped rotors, and calipers that didnt work again.
I changed over to Kodiak last year, I hope they last longer.
I got the Kodiak vented rotors, dont get the single fin rotor, they dont dissepate the heat and warp.
I ordered from Eastern Marine, even with freight it was cheaper.

When we got the Black Boat With Round Tires, I asked about stainless brakes. They told me get the Kodiaks. I
They were not the first (or last) people in the industry to make the same call.
