Darnit Kenia you wern't supposed to blab. Although I'm not sure if it helps I don't think it hurts. It is part of my brine and I am still in the experimenting phase.

Hey fishhunter,
Keep the banannas out of that brine and it will work better images/icons/grin.gif.
Recently I've seen good luck with sun roasted hering in a brine with said mentioned ingredients... images/icons/shocked.gif

I have found that slam-ola works well on sardine filets the night before a trip when using kwikfish. Seems to toughen em' up a bit and the salmon reeeally don't seem to mind it being on there images/icons/wink.gif

I have seen a product on the market that is put out by Pro-cure called SLAM OLA. It is specifically for salmon fishing. It is to be added to bait several hours before use. My question is: What is this stuff made from and has anybody used it with any sucess?

I have had good luck with it on kwikfish wraps for kings last fall! I believe it is some type of nitrate or sulfite?
