First I hear shallow, then I hear someone catches a springer in 30 feet of water... Then I hear shallow, then I hear deep.
Just what is it gonna be?

Hi Jen!
I have seen more fish caught around 10 to 15 feet than any other depth. Close to the shoreline on the slough.

I'd reckon to guess it would have to be "just the right amount". images/icons/wink.gif images/icons/smile.gif images/icons/grin.gif

i would have to agree with kenia. i mark most fish from 6- 20 ft. i do mark them out deeper but don't get any takers.

Jen: The reason you are hearing different depths is that sometimes and this is not hard and fast..early in the morning the fish are in shallow water. As boat traffic increases and the sun shines on the water the fish move to deeper water.

Another thing, if you have 30-60 feet under you then you may be catching them in anything from 12 -18' as this is the depth they are suppost to like.

If you move up to the flats, and the water is only 9' deep then that's the depth you will catch them in.

Hope this helps....Giz...
