If it were mine, I'd pull the float bowl, make sure everything is nice and clean, especially the jets.

How fast are you trying to accelerate?

I had a problem when I tried a hole shot using full throttle. I had too much pitch on the prop. I went down from a 17 pitch to a 15 and the problem went away.

JB,
had similar issue w/ my Honda 90 so I called King Salmon where I bought my rig. first, assuming the obvious has been checked (clean fuel, good plugs, engine is warm) The mechanic checked the carb synchronization. He put a vacuum gauge on it and reset all 4 carbs and now the hole shot is right on.:twocents:
BTW my rig is an Arima SR19.

Maury's note is spot on. Make sure the engine is up to par before changing props. I had mine checked out when I bought it and asked Stevens Marine specifically about the engine stalling out of the hole.

Plug gap was my problem, brand new motor too. Haven't tried the fix yet though
