Nothing like a beautiful day on Billy Chinook. Not very many boats out today, the weather was perfect. I took my chiropractor out today and he continued the streak of people outfishing me. We started out casting swimbaits around the shore and some river channel areas for an hour with no takers. Then we switched to the downriggers. I had a j-plug that sounded like it matched fishty's magic lure from last weekend. After my partner landed 2 fish and lost another on herring it was time for me to swap out plastic for flesh.
We ran different herring combinations and presentations and finished with 10 on, 7 to the boat. I got outfished 4 to 3. Here's a pic of my chiropractor's biggest of the day. It was right at keeper size, 24."

All fish were released to fight another day. Saw the state marine cops at the dock and finally got a safety check for my 1 year old boat. Turns out the guy was a former taxidermy customer of mine. I mounted 2 browns that he and his brother caught at Simtustis about 6 years ago.
