Alright, I'm lookin' for peoples preferences. Have always fished springers with the hammered brass ones, and had decent luck. What other colors work????

Hi Backlash2! I have fair luck on the rainbow colored blades when the fish feel like biting. Some days nothing works. images/icons/smile.gif

Check out the G Spot blades. We use a wide variety of blades on the Rogue, I kow must of the guides use G Spot blades. I like the 1/2 chart/gold hammered blade for springers, and a sold chart for falls. I forgot to add G Spot blades to my things that work list. If I lost me blade box, I would be out $100's of dollars, those things are spendy! @ $3 a pop. But so well worth it.
Have you tried the ones w/ the hole in the center? images/icons/grin.gif

I've always gone with the bright orange/yellow/chartrose or plain silver blue foxs for bank fishing. I know they're pretty standard for about everything but when covering water for the first time I always go with what I know works. I've used almost every color you can immagine but haven't had regular success with any of the fancy stuff.

TH,
You mentioned the blades with hole in the center. This year down on the tidewater of the Necanicum, that was the hot ticket for the fall nooks. I've been wanting to try those for springers. I guess they put off some pretty good sonics.

I tried the g-spots with the hole in them last fall for silvers and didn't do well. Knocked the heck out of them sticking with the tried and true size 4 or 5 plain nickel blade. Sometimes keeping it simple and not trying to overcomplicate things seems to pay off for me.

I prefer silver plated blades in high colored water or when the water is running cold. I switch to brass when the water warms and clears. Size of the spinner will also vary as these conditions change. The body of the spinner is where I place the color of choice. For springers I use pink or green.
