Can anyone tell me what is the difference between these two? Is is that they are just made of different materials; styrofoam and plastic?

Birdies were made of styrofoam and the new versions which are every bit as colorful and are made of styrene plastic like corkies and spin/glos. Since there is a limit on the amount of cork that can be harvested there are no more drift bobbers or spin/bobbers made of cork. The new birdies incorporate some of the same color schemes that were used for glo-go's.

I've seen them at FMS. They also have them at that fishing tackle store in Philomath but they are too expensive there.

Thanx BigStew.
Next time Im up north I will check em out. Im curiois to see if they have any red and white ones.
Yea the Fishermnas Corner in Philomath has high prices on everything. I guess he can get away wiht that, He is the only place open early in the morning.
Oakie Drifter,
I tried out the Spin floats for Winter Steelhead a few times this year and they spin and look great. I had no luck while fishing with them, but they look promising. If they make them in smaller sizes, I have not seen them.
