It now seems like a good time to look into buying what will have to be somewhat of a multi-purpose for steelhead (plugs) and maybe bobber and jigs.
The budget just won't allow a high-end rod (wife keeps talking about working on the house - what is she thinking images/icons/grin.gif )
Anyway, I've been looking at the Lamiglas 1306T, 8'6".
I'd like to get some insight from the board's collective wisdom.
Thanks a bunch images/icons/smile.gif

Why not move up 6 inches longer if bobber and jigs will be in your arsenal. Same everything as the 1306, just 6 inches longer = G 1324-T

The longer rod will help with bobber and jigs.

Hope this helps.

You could get an All-Star rod too though for the money, but Superfly would have to tell you the model numbers since I think they coincide with Loomis's numbering.

I would seriously consider a Rainshadow rod. They fish very well and are about 1/2 the price of a GL3. Great warranty, and we can build them in any color, w/ Fuji guides.

Thanks for the help guys. My wife would probably appreciate the extra 6 inches too! images/icons/shocked.gif (Ooops, probably shouldn't have said that)

TH - looks like we need to talk!

Why get an expensive rod for something visual (jig-n-bobber)? Should'nt we fishermen be getting a rod for sensitivity when fishing corkies and spinners images/icons/confused.gif
What Rods do the experienced fishermen recommend for these situations??? images/icons/wink.gif
